The Wrack
Life is Found in Liminal Spaces

Walking In
You sense it or does it sense you first
Pulling you in with its strangeness
The sounds otherworldly
Unlike anything you’ve heard in your home
In your young life
You hear crying
not of sadness
And hesitate before opening the door
Staring
Trying to understand
Then go back down the hall to your room
To get under the covers
And commit what you’ve learned to memory
